Each quarter, the Cairngorms Business Barometer (CBB) seeks feedback from business operators across the Cairngorms National Park (CNP) on a range of aspects including ongoing performance and confidence in the future, which allows for a quarterly assessment of the ‘health’ of the tourism economy in the Park area. Insights from the quarterly online survey help Cairngorms Business Partnership and their partners evaluate and act upon current tourism trends and better support tourism businesses across the Cairngorms.
Aggregating the results of the last four surveys (i.e. Q2 2014 to Q1 2015, inclusive), the Cairngorms Business Barometer Summary Report 2014/15 is now available and can be accessed here here and at the bottom of this page.
Amongst other findings, as can be seen in the chart below, average business confidence scores for the medium-term (next 12 months) and long-term (next 24 months) were broadly on par with 2013/14 but were notably above previous years. It was also interesting to note that the period finished in Q1 2015 with medium term confidence at an all-time high of 6.61.
